The open source alcohol simulator for mobile phones

How accurate is Calcohol?

Calcohol's alcohol simulation models are based on scientific papers (see references). These papers however make heavy assumptions. Assumptions include fasting before alcohol intake (Food ingestion will slow absorption), general assumptions about body composition etc. Also it is not unlikely that there are some programming errors in the way Calcohol calculates blood alcohol content.

The results correlate quite well with other alcohol calculators available, but at the moment no guarantees are made about Calcohol's accuracy. We take no responsibility for wrong blood alcohol esimations, and Calcohol should not be used for any purposes where legal implications might follow.
